Phenom Hoops LIVE took over Raleigh in a major way, packing out the Raleigh Convention Center with 20 courts of non-stop hoops action and a buzz that echoed throughout the weekend. With emerging talent from across the region taking the stage, this wasn’t just another event — it was a proving ground. College coaches were courtside, scouting the next wave of stars, and the intensity on the floor matched the energy in the building. From breakout performances to deep team runs, there was no shortage of storylines — and we’re diving into a few programs that truly made their mark at Phenom LIVE.

Roots Rockin 2026

Roots Rockin 2026 started the event off in the right way for us at Phenom Hoops, and they continued to bring intrigue with their team throughout. This was a group that brought good balance overall but also had some prospects that we will for sure be watching more down the line, as we dive into a few of them that impressed.

2027 Stephen Stockton was a player who had intriguing tools overall in his game. Standing at 6’6, he was able to showcase his ability to finish well, space the floor, and make plays in creating for himself off the bounce. Stockton understood how to use his length to his advantage.

2026 6’7 Mohamed N’Diaye was another lengthy prospect that was able to impact the game on both sides. He used that wingspan to his advantage, as he had a fluid feel, ran the floor well, showed touch around the basket, and altered shots defensively.

2027 Bryce McKenzie was an assertive, attacking guard who was able to not only hurt you in creating and attacking off the bounce but could knock down shots as well. He brought a nice overall balance to the floor from the perimeter.

2028 Mason Murphy is a young prospect who has been catching our eyes for some time now. Great size at 6’4, can operate inside and out, scores well and effectively from multiple levels, and continues to show upside with his game. Eager to see how he continues to develop overall as part of the Class of 2028.

2027 Tyrie Pressley is one that we have watched over the years and have always been impressed by. His ability to impact the game in so many ways should make him a target for college programs down the road. Utilizes his length and ability to score inside and out, is extremely active on the glass, and brings such versatility to the floor with his size. He continues to thrive in so many roles on the court.
