Overall, it was a terrific event at the Phenom Rise Showcase, as the talent and incredible matchups could be found all over the place. It also allowed Phenom Hoops to get an update on a few prospects around the region, seeing what has been going on the latest as far as recruitment.

2025 Isaiah Henry was yet another prospect we have had our eyes on for quite some time. From the first time we watched him two years ago, to where he is today, Henry continues to prove himself and what he brings to his game. This is what we have said in the past:

“Last year, he got his real true taste of high school basketball with Cannon, and there were some adjusting pains to go through but it also allowed him to develop his overall feel for the game and adjust. This season, he had done just that, showing more of his offensive arsenal, how he can be a weapon from inside and out, displaying a lot more confidence in his game and making plays for himself, and really being an overall impact for his team. Whether he can knock down shots with confidence from outside with range, his ability to use his size and physical frame to operate down in the paint and finish around the basket, his pull-up mid-range game, his ability to impact the game in transition, or his defensive presence, Henry has certainly reminded everyone why he is regarded as one of the top talents in the state for his class.”

We spoke to him to catch up on the latest on his recruitment, as he has plenty of eyes coming his way. Early on, Appalachian State and South Florida jumped on board early on with offers, but when speaking to Henry, he mentioned that schools like Temple, Marquette, Xavier, Creighton, Ole Miss, Boston College, Western Carolina, NC State, FSU, Wake Forest, Clemson, and North Carolina A&T have all showed interest.

And there are a few schools that he would like to visit down the road; Temple, Marquette, Creighton, and Boston College are all schools that he would be interested in checking out more.  He has already made visits to NC State, Clemson, and Florida State.
