Continuing to highlight players around the state, we now take a look at 2027 Teeshon Smith, who helped lead the charge this past high school at Cox Mill and is proving to be a key piece to this year’s CP3 EYBL 2027 team.

Smith is one that can bring versatility to the court, guarding multiple positions, doing what is needed for his team, and proving to be a key piece on the court in an array of areas. He has a good combination of size, athleticism, and skill that allows him to make plays all over the court. Smith does a good job in creating for himself and mixing it up offensively, attacking off the bounce and getting to the rim but also knocking down shots from the perimeter. He brings a toughness to the court that you have to like, something that can be seen on both sides of the court. Smith’s ability to operate from multiple areas, create for himself off the bounce, and be a versatile piece on the court is what should have college coaches attention.

What Has Been Said:

“He’s a long, wiry, athletic guard prospect with a great combination of IQ, size, and skill. Smith is a quality creator who can score from all levels, apply consistent downhill pressure, and dictate the action with the ball in his hands. He handles the ball well and displays great vision, but knows how to take advantage of easy opportunities as a scorer. Coach Mims on Smith: “Teeshon is a highly talented kid! Gets downhill and finishes, but also has a smooth shooting stroke. Teeshon has the goods.” Smith highlighted a lot of ability at camp and should be a meaningful contributor for Cox Mill during his upcoming freshman season.”

“For those who have watched the Chargers, it should come as no surprise to see Smith listed here. He’s really shined as a focal point for this young, up-and-coming Cox Mill squad, offering a healthy blend of scoring, toughness, and shot-creation ability. Smith scores the ball with relative ease from all levels, but also understands how to get others involved and seize opportunities within the framework of the offense. He’s a great athlete with length, fluidity, and quality feel on both ends of the floor. Smith is undoubtedly a guy to keep an eye on.”

“Smith was a well-known name last year and with key players gone and a year under his belt, I believe that this is the year for Smith to breakout even more.  He will be counted on to be a leader on the court and a true offensive scoring presence. Smith has good handles, gets to the rim at ease, finishes well around the rim, can be assertive and gets to the free-throw line, and understands his offensive capabilities. There is a lot of potential in his game and this could be the year for him.”
