Highlighting several young players here in North Carolina, there was one player that we watched this year who we were blown away by, and that was 2027 Ashanti Taylor at Porter Ridge High School. When you watch Taylor in action, she plays with a veteran, experienced feel for the game which should capture the eyes of big-time programs around the area. She is one that is excellent with the ball in her hands, being a true playmaker on the court. Taylor also plays with tremendous poise and a tremendous offensive skillset that allows her to flourish as a true scorer. But her overall impact on the court can’t be denied, as she plays hard on the boards, is active defensively, and finds her teammates well.Â
Again, when we watched her operate and play this year, one could easily see that this is a big-time talent here in North Carolina who will be holding several offers down the road. But the time is now to learn about her with Lady Phenom.

She plays with a tremendous feel for the game at such a young age; crafty and poised with her handles, ability to create scoring options for herself, reads and sees the floor extremely well, can play multiple positions, defends well, impacts the game in other ways, and continues to be a strong scoring option. I was extremely impressed with what we saw, and think she could be a rising star here in NC.â€
