Player: Trevor Manhertz
Class: 2026
Height: 6’7
School: Green Level
We are expecting several players in the Class of 2026 to make a lot of noise, and 2026 6’7 Trevor Manhertz from Green Level HS should be looking to be part of that wave. Manhertz is a very intriguing prospect with his blend of length and scoring ability, especially with his ability to knock down shots, terrific range, and potential.
Well, it was recently announced that Manhertz had earned his first Division I offer from Boston University. Phenom Hoops was able to catch up with the rising star here in North Carolina to talk about his focus, his development, and thoughts on his first offer. Here is what he had to say:
Phenom: What is your excitement about this summer and showing more of your development?
Manhertz: My excitement has been really high. I want to prove that I’m more than just a standstill shooter.
Phenom: How has your game continued to improve, and what areas are you hoping to show more of?
Manhertz: My game has improved by being more versatile with growing five inches in a year and I want to show off my length, use it on offense, and impact the game defensively.
Phenom: Boston was your first offer. What is your excitement about earning that offer?
Manhertz: The excitement was great because once you get the first offer, the gates open to many more. The staff was very heavy on making relationships with the players and said to remember them when I blow up.
Phenom: What other schools have shown interest your way?
Manhertz: Davidson, Asheville, Northern Kentucky, South Carolina, Queens, and Coastal Carolina.
What Has Been Said from Phenom Hoops:
“Arguably the most under-recruited of this group, Manhertz’s blend of IQ, size, shooting, and visible upside should immediately appeal to next-level programs. He’s a lethal perimeter shooter and excellent spot-up threat who poses a threat with or without the ball in his hands. Manhertz is comfortable creating or attacking the basket, but is arguably at his best when finding open seams and converting off the catch. He’s still adding strength and harnessing his physical tools, but he’s clearly a prospect who will only continue to trend upward over the foreseeable future.”
“Manhertz was, in my opinion, the biggest stock riser from the weekend, showcasing his intriguing physical tools and high-level shooting ability in a heightened role for the Gators. He was comfortable attacking with his off hand, finished through contact well, and made some really impressive passing reads. He averaged 17.7 PPG on the weekend with shooting splits of 50/47/93. His untapped physical upside, overall offensive prowess, and improved toughness makes him an incredibly intriguing prospect in North Carolina’s 2026 class.”
