Player: Cameron Blivens
Class: 2026
Height: 6’2
School: Lipscomb Academy

This summer, the Tennessee Tigers came rolling through the Phenom Hoops platform, and we had a great chance to see some highly intriguing talent, one of which included 2026 6’2 Cameron Blivens from Lipscomb Academy.

Shortly after his player, he announced his commitment to Columbia for football. But Blivens proved before then that he was a dual-sport athlete that college programs, both football and basketball, need to pay attention to. At the event, I had this to say about his game:

“Blivens was a new name personally for me, but diving more into his background, he is one who certainly has caught the attention of many college programs already. Whether he is being recruited as a football prospect (already holds a ton of offers for football) or for basketball (holds multiple D1 offers), Blivens looks to be a sought-after prospect. On the court, the 6’2 guard was able to flourish with his ability to attack downhill, scoring in transition, finishing through defenders, and being assertive as an offensive weapon. He plays hard, competes on both ends, and can truly be a strong scoring impact on the floor for his team.”

What Phenom Hoops saw on the court that weekend and what he has been doing this season at Lipscomb Academy, Blivens continues to prove that he should be a target on the court.  It was announced just under a month ago that Blivens would decommit from Columbia and reopen his recruitment, open to both football and basketball.

As far as a basketball prospect, Blivens has been putting on a show, nearly averaging 25ppg, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals for his team. Blivens continues to flourish as a leader, showcasing a strong ability to score downhill and finish, embracing contact, and proving to be a scorer from multiple levels with confidence.

Sources close to Blivens have reported that schools have been reaching out, and recruitment could pick up on the basketball side. Schools like Missouri State, Wichita State, Seton Hall, Boston, Loyola-Marymount, South Alabama, Ball State, MTSU, and Samford have had discussions as well.

Blivens, since reopening his recruitment, is open-minded about it all, listening to all programs, whether it is for basketball or football. A star on the field or court, Blivens has proven to be an extremely talented athlete who deserves the attention of many.
