To put it mildly, the nightcap was freaking crazy. It was a tie game at half time, after an unbelievable performance from 6’5″ Louisville commit Josh Nickelberry from Northwood Temple. He was a pure scorer, shot the ball well at all levels and showcased an ability to handle the ball and create.

Nickelberry finished up with 31 points on the game. It was a hard earned 31, but it was efficient. He scored the ball attacking the rim and off an array of jump shots, both off the catch and the bounce.

The 23rd ranked team in the country, Carmel Christian, turned up the press coming out of half time. After a 33-16 third quarter, Carmel Christian put the game out of hand. Donovan Gregory did an unbelievable job of turning offense to defense, using tenacity and quick hands to really suffocate the opposing guards.

Also worth note is 6’9″ 2019 Brandon Franklin from Northwood Temple who knocked down three 3s. Also, 6’5″ College of Charleston commit Deangelo Epps from Carmel Christian finished with 14 points as he closed out the game with a lot of the ball handling duties. 6’2″ Houston Baptist commit Myles Pierre was a steady 2-way factor for Carmel Christian as well.

Unbelievable game and incredible atmosphere! Get here early tomorrow, this gym will be rocking!
