2029 6’4 Kam Rice (Wren)

Rice was a new name for me personally, and I’m eager to jot his name down and watch how he continues to develop. But what was impressive with this young prospect was his length and understanding of the game. He really was able to display his ability to break down defenders and create for himself, attacking off the bounce and getting to the basket, as well as knock down open shots. Rice brings a lot of intrigue at his 6’4 frame, shot-making ability, and overall skillset.

2027 6’5 Nixon Wright (East Meck)

East Meck will have a new look this upcoming season, and one player that grabbed my attention as a difference-maker was 2026 6’5 Nixon Wright. A strong built prospect was able to shine with his overall athleticism and ability to attack the basket. He was able to finish strong but also showed an ability to defend at a high level, something East Meck will depend on this season. With what this team offers, Wright has a big chance to carve out his name as a go-to player for this team.

2026 6’10 Nicholas McLean (WS Christian)

McLean has had a big two weeks, and we don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. The difference a year makes with his game is quite impressive, as he looks a lot more comfortable as well as stronger as a prospect. But what sets him apart is his ability to bring value inside and out, scoring well inside with touch and over defenders as well as being able to step out and knock down the mid-range shot and threes. McLean mixes it up well and should be in line to shine for WS Christian this season.

2026 6’5 Bryan Little (Piedmont)

Little continues to be a player I believe could be a sneaky player and one that goes a bit under the radar. But again, each time I watch him, he is one who simply produces and brings excellent energy to the floor. Built extremely strong and is such a physical presence on the court, Little bullies through defenders, and is a great presence on the glass, simply outworking many opponents. He also embraces contact really well, having no issue in finishing through defenders. Little doesn’t need to be the focal point of an offense, but he will bring plenty of production to the court for his team.

2029 AJ Cureton (Nation Ford)

Cureton is a promising young guard from Nation Ford and one to keep an eye on. His ability to create and navigate through defenses with quick handles and shifty movements is impressive. Cureton’s tremendous burst of speed allows him to get past defenders, being a strong playmaking guard as a point guard. He does a great job in getting by defenders, making good overall decisions, running the offense, and be a consistent scoring presence.
