A player that carries a lot of weight, especially with his last name, Flagg had a strong freshman season at Maine, averaging 6.7ppg and 4.1rpg, starting 10 of his last 11 games, and receiving a substantial increase in minutes towards the end of the season. One can see that his averages started to increase in conference play, averaging 8.0ppg, 4.1rpg, and 25.9mpg. The Black Bears are hoping that it will pay off this season with the sophomore returning.
When you start diving more into the second half of the season, Flagg was able to showcase more of his game, being able to use his size to score inside and get to his spots, as well as be a threat from the perimeter. He was also an effective option in other areas, whether it was getting on the defensive glass, showcasing his activity on the defensive side, and making strong overall decisions on the court, whether it was scoring or facilitating. Flagg was able to find ways to impact the game.
And one could see his confidence continued to grow towards the end of the season.
Now, after a strong freshman season, Maine is hoping the hometown prospect can elevate his game to the next level and be a leader on the court. And with valuable earned experience, his work ethic, and the opportunity ahead of him, Flagg has a chance to make a big jump this coming season.
