Each year, Phenom Hoops travels down to South Carolina to host our annual South Carolina Top 80. No matter the venue, a majority of the state’s top players come out to compete on a big stage against one another. Although folks have gotten spoiled with the depth of prospects in North Carolina over the years, the Palmetto State has more than solidified its incredible pipeline of talent. Sure, the state sees natural fluctuations of notable prospects, but it’s not crazy to say that South Carolina is one of the most underrated areas in the southeast. Take a look at some of the past MVP winners:
 Deshawn Leftwich
 DJ Burns
 CJ Felder
 PJ Hall
 RJ Felton
 GG Jackson
 Aaron Hall
 Cam Scott
 Hayden Assemian
 Josh Leonard
Although that list alone represents a star-studded grouping, there have been even more notable names to attend the event. Guys like Ja Morant, Aaron Nesmith, Dillon Jones, and Jordan Burch are all professional athletes. Morant is obviously one of the most publicized players in the NBA while Nesmith is a starter for a Finals team and Jones is an NBA champion. Burch just got drafted to the NFL earlier this year. Although those headlining names certainly warrant a lot of attention, there have been so many next-level players to come through this event. Whether D3, D2, or varying levels of Division I, the South Carolina Top 80 consistently showcases talent worth seeing.
