Ranked as a Top 100 prospect by many national outlets, 2026 6’11 Aliou Dioum continues to be a primary target for many schools this summer. A big man that makes his impact felt both offensively and defensively, Dioum has had a strong summer this season in racking up new offers and interests, as we recently caught up with him. Phenom Hoops had the opportunity to watch him in action at the NBPA Top 100 down in Florida last year, as he impressed with his ability to alter shots, attack the boards, and be an offensive weapon. Check out what we said below, along with the latest in his recruitment, including an upcoming visit.
NBPA Top 100 Camp:
“Dioum was a newer name for me, but I just liked his overall activity and motor on the court. Dioum has a blossoming and developing skillset, as he plays with a ton of activity and just finds ways to produce on the court. He has a knack for the ball on the boards, creating opportunities in scoring off putbacks as well as attacking the glass defensively. He also finished well and at the rim time after time, as he just found ways to produce.”
Game Description:
“I’m a power forward and center who runs the floor hard, as well as blocks shots. I can shoot, display a strong skillset, and I play hard as hell.” – Dioum
Recruitment Update:
Dioum has been a hot target for many, especially with what he is able to provide on both sides of the ball. Right now, he holds offers from multiple ACC, SEC, and other schools, including Georgia, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Missouri, Mississippi State, Arizona State, Fresno State, Illinois, UNLV, Loyola-Chicago, Wake Forest, Jacksonville, and Santa Barbara.
In speaking with Dioum recently, other schools have expressed interest in his approach and could enter the mix. Kansas, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia are three programs to watch out for, and he also has an upcoming visit to Loyola-Chicago on July 28.
UPDATED (July 23): Dioum has also informed outlets that he will be taking a visit to Wake Forest on August 21
