6’7 Jordan Niles (Winston-Salem Christian)
It’s no secret that Winston-Salem Christian has a variety of tough, battle-tested pieces who simply know how to compete, and that certainly includes Niles. At 6-foot-7, he possesses an enticing blend of size, fluidity, and perimeter shooting. He’s a reliable spot-up threat who can apply pressure from beyond the arc or attack closeouts effectively off the bounce. Niles finishes well around the basket and is willing to make the extra pass as needed. He also provides consistent effort as a defender and rebounder, but still has plenty of upside in those areas.
6’3 Nick Keith (NC Spartans)
Although we highlighted Keith earlier this week, he still warrants attention as potentially the most appealing prospect among the unsigned players. He’s a crafty, polished lead guard who offers strong feel, creation skills, and scoring ability. Keith is able to effortlessly generate clean looks for himself and others at a seemingly nonstop rate. His handle, pace, and quickness allow him to consistently break down opponents off the bounce and set up others or pick his spots as a scorer. Keith mixes it up well from all levels. He’s able to get downhill and touch the paint with ease, but can also pull up off the bounce or knock down jumpers from beyond the arc. Keith is also a scrappy defender and capable rebounder. Scholarship-level programs should be involved.
6’3 Luca Sarnowska (NC Spartans)
Similar to the entry above, it’s surprising that Sarnowska doesn’t have more action within his recruitment despite being a regular player of interest. It’s probably overstated at this point, but the kid simply plays harder than everyone else. Sure, he possesses a highly physical nature with useful skill and a quality feel for the game on both ends of the floor. However, it’s his sheer effort that separates him from others. Sarnowska always seems to do the dirty work, make hustle plays, and fill in the gaps whenever necessary. He’s able to impose his will defensively to overwhelm opponents and force turnovers at a healthy rate. Sarnowska rebounds his position extremely well, especially on the offensive glass, and knows how to push the break in transition. Add in his ability to knock down open jumpers and finish through tons of contact, and it’s easy to see the appeal.
6’1 Sonne Williams (NC Spartans)
Rounding out this group, it’s difficult to say anything other than positives about the consistent production Williams brought to the table. He’s a well-rounded guard who displayed the ability to fill it up as a scorer while setting the tone as a leader and focal point. Williams mixed it up well from all levels, showing the ability to create his own shot or operate as an off-ball threat. He finished, hit pull-ups, and knocked down jumpers at a nice rate from distance. Williams displayed consistent effort on defense and rebounded well for his size/position. He has a variety of intriguing qualities and could be a nice late addition for the right program.
