Link: Part 1
6’5” Trey Cousin
Mid State Magic / Washington Academy (NC)
Claimed Offers: Alcorn St, Maryland Eastern Shore, NC A&T
Cousin is a noted scorer. Has put up big time numbers from the wing spot. Not to mention he comes from a long line of hoopers with both mother and father, brother and sister playing Division 1 basketball. Cousin has great positional size, with the ability to knock down 3s off the catch or create off the bounce. Everything about him screams these offers, at this level are appropriate. He should have numerous colleges watching him closely.
6’9” TJ Nesmith
Mid State Magic / Graham HS (NC)
Claimed Offers: Alcorn St
Nesmith is a late-blooming big man who has a lot of tools. He is very long and has naturally good hands and seeming catches everything in his direction. He runs the floor well and is a good area rebounder who has shown he can finish over both shoulders and with both hands at the rim. Nothing flashy here, just a long-armed, strong bodied 6’9” who can rebound and score. Yes, that checks the boxes for numerous D1 offers.
6’6” Kwashek Breeden
WBC Elite / Lumberton HS (NC)
Breeden has been a noted athlete over the past couple of years. The accomplished 3 sport athlete (track, football, basketball) at Lumberton High School has taken a huge step forward with his basketball over the past year. He has worked himself into a knock down 3-point shooter off the catch. With his athleticism and length to defend the perimeter and be switchable onto bigs, as well as being a knock down three-point shooter, Breeden has worked himself into a coveted 3 & D type player with size. There is a lot of value there, for a lot of eyes to be on him.
6’1” Marcus Metcalf
WCBA Unsigned / Wayne Country Day (NC)
If you live in North Carolina, you know Marcus Metcalf as a vicious jumper and dunker. And while that is true, there is more to his game than that. He can shoot the ball very well and he is an aggressive downhill scorer, off the bounce, in the half court. Metcalf is physically strong and uber-athletic, and he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He is the exact type of player you see in the MEAC/SWAC schools putting up huge numbers as a junior and senior.
5’11” Raishaun Brown
Team Swish / Asheville Christian (NC)
Claimed Offers: Western Carolina
Brown has been a name that coaches have been talking about for a couple of years now. Brown is quick on quick type point guard who has the ball on a string and the ability to get anywhere on the court he wants. He can score the ball with consistent 3 point range as well as an incredibly crafty package in the paint. With so many schools still looking for a guard, this one (who has been tucked away in the mountains) is one coaches need to put eyes on during the April period
