6'7' Unsigned Senior Kyron Gray

Last season, Kyron Gray probably had the best season of that no one hear of (or is talking) about. The 6'7' unsigned senior from Hartsville High School, in Hartsville, South Carolina, finished the season averaging 12 points, 15 boards and 3 blocks per game.
Gray is a long and a very active big man. Standing at 6'7', he carries a 6'10'+ wing span which he uses in in all aspect of his game. Gray is a strong and active rebounder on both ends of the floor and he is also an aggressive (but controlled) shot blocker and paint enforcer. He also is able to use quick feet and instincts in the passing lanes to create a lot of deflections.
What sets Gray apart is the versatility in his offensive game. He is able to finish around the basket, with touch and athleticism. But he is also able to step out and put the ball on the floor from the high post or the wing. As with the majority of the top players in the state, Gray is an alum of the South Carolina top 80. In this event the best players from around the state are brought together to compete against one another.
Gray was a standout at the 2017 SC Top 80, after the event we wrote, 'Gray is a very interesting prospect to watch. He has the size and skills to be a legit D1 prospect. He matched up and battled with some of the best Bigs in the state. He showed why he is considered among those elite players as well. Offensively he has so many skills in his bag that he uses very well. He's fueled by being able to match up with bigger names and takes advantage of those match ups. His Post-up game and low Post footwork was simply fantastic on today. He showed the ability to finish with both hands around the rim as well. On the defensive side, he blocked shots and controlled the boards every time he got on the floor. He also packs a lot of athleticism which was evident off pick and rolls and transition where he threw down hard dunks. This upcoming year he will have the chance to help lead a young talented Hartsville squad to a championship. Coaches need to get a close look here, Gray is a sleeper with loads of potential.'
His team now stands 2-1, after playing a tough schedule to this point. Through those three games, gray is averaging 15.6 points and 18 rebounds per game with individual game highs this past game against traditional 5A power West Florence of 21 points and 25 boards. Gray keeps getting better each time he steps on the floor.
Gray is already qualified for Division 1 basketball. However, astonishingly enough he doesn't carry any Division 1 offers. In fact, currently, the only offer Gray carries is from Benedict. This should change as he should have his choice between high level D2s and multiple local D1s coming for him.
