What Does This Mean for North Carolina

This is certainly huge news for North Carolina, securing its big-time target in 2025 6’9 Caleb Wilson. We certainly understand the difficulties the Tar Heels have been having with size and Wilson should certainly be able to come in right away and help produce next year. He has great positional size at 6’9 and with a 7-foot wingspan, moves extremely well on the court, has tremendous athleticism and bounce in his game, and knows how to bring versatility to the court. Wilson runs the floor and moves well, showing his ability to operate from multiple areas and be a versatile defender, but also brings a tremendous impact in blocking/altering shots as well as attacking the glass.

Wilson has a good feel and touch around the basket, can make plays off the bounce and get downhill, shows vision and court awareness, and brings a strong presence on both sides of the floor.

Now, Wilson joins fellow Top-100 prospects Isaiah Denis and Derek Dixon as the Tar Heels look to build upon another strong recruiting class. And depending on how things go down in Chapel Hill along with the transfer portal, Wilson should be able to come in immediately and provide a refreshing presence on the court.
