Proving to be one of the top talents in the class of 2026, Jordan Smith Jr. continues to attract the eyes of some of the top programs around the country and that may have only hit another level with blue-bloods now entering the mix.
Phenom Hoops wrote about Smith earlier this year after watching him in January, where we had this to say:
“I liked what I saw from Smith on Monday, finishing 7-for-10 from the floor with 17 points. Smith was able to get to his spots on the court to knock down shots, doing much of his work inside the arc but also is a strong/athletic guard that can finish with the best of them at the rim. Really liked his overall energy and willingness to compete. He holds several offers and should be coveted by several programs down the road.”

Smith’s list of offers is extensive, as it includes programs like Alabama, Virginia, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee, Louisville, Kansas, and so many others. But he added two new but big offers from North Carolina and Duke. We spoke to Smith about those offers and summer ball, to get the latest on his thoughts.
“This summer was a big summer for me and my game, and taking it to the next level,” Smith told Phenom about this summer. “I didn’t accomplish my main goal for the summer to win Peach Jam but I did accomplish my goal to get better.”
As mentioned above, Duke came in with an offer and North Carolina quickly followed.
“Hubert Davis talked about how winning was important to him and I show characteristics of winning. Their legacy (at North Carolina is what stands out to me).”
As far as Duke goes:
“They talked about building a relationship with me, and what stands out to me with Duke is the PVI pipeline.”
Right now, Smith informed Phenom Hoops that he has a visit set up to Duke on September 14th.
