2028 Donnie Jones (Ardrey Kell)
Jones showcased a polished offensive game and a strong understanding of how to create advantages. The crafty guard consistently put pressure on defenses, opening opportunities for both himself and teammates. He made smart reads, knocked down difficult shots, and earned trips to the free throw line through his aggressiveness. Defensively, he competed well against bigger guards and displayed the toughness coaches value from lead guards.
2027 Jayden Harnett (Olympic)
Harnett impressed with his blend of athleticism, strength, and downhill attacking ability. He consistently got into the paint, embraced contact, and finished through defenders. His explosiveness allowed him to create separation off the bounce, while his improving jumper added another dimension to his offensive game. Defensively, he used his physicality effectively and competed at a high level throughout the day.
2028 Xavier Hall (Mooresville)
One of the top-ranked big men in North Carolina’s 2028 class, Hall made his presence felt despite limited action. He controlled his area around the basket with physicality, strong hands, and excellent touch. Hall finished plays with authority and routinely punished defenses around the rim. On the defensive end, he showcased promising rim-protecting instincts, rotating effectively as a help-side defender and making finishes difficult in the paint.
2027 Collin McConneyhead (Lake Norman Charter)
McConneyhead continues to make a case as one of the state’s most underrated guards. The explosive playmaker can hurt opponents from multiple levels, attacking downhill with force while also stretching defenses from the perimeter. His ability to rise to the occasion in key moments consistently stands out, and he once again delivered when his team needed him most.
2028 Chase Smith (Queens Grant)
Smith’s strong summer continued as he displayed why his stock continues to rise nationally. The versatile prospect impacted the game across multiple positions and showed comfort operating in different areas of the floor. His physical tools, basketball IQ, and decision-making allow him to take advantage of what defenses give him. Smith’s continued growth on both ends makes him one of the more intriguing young prospects in the region.
