UNC-Asheville has been doing a great job in securing talent from around the state of North Carolina, and they had two more prospects coming in for the Class of 2026 in Ian Bailey and Logan Johnson. Those two talents matched up at the Phenom George Lynch Invitational at Myers Park over the weekend, giving the program a great look at what is to come.

It was a tremendous battle between the two future teammates, with both posting 20+ point outings in what was a tight battle. Bailey and Johnson both traded blows in this game, with Carmel Christian securing the narrow win. Phenom Hoops dives into a bit of what we saw throughout, as both guys traded blows throughout the game in an intense game.

2026 Ian Bailey (Asheville Christian) – 31 points

Bailey has been a favorite of ours with his overall game and impact. He has gotten bigger, better, and stronger as a prospect, and it clearly shows on the court this season. When you talk about his game, Bailey does a great job in not only dictating the action and feel, but also mixing it up offensively with his scoring. Again, he continues to excel as a downhill scorer, getting to the rim, finishing with his athleticism, and creating space for himself. But his ability to blend his game within running and managing the show is quite impressive.

2026 Logan Johnson (Carmel Christian) – 28 points

Johnson will be another fantastic piece, and it will be clear that these two players could feed off each other very well. With Bailey’s ability to drive, Johnson will be a great weapon from outside with his ability to knock down shots from multiple levels. Johnson excelled with his ability to knock down shots off the catch, spacing the floor and being a threat from outside, but he also understands how to get to his spots for his mid-range and use his size at the rim.
