TL: Tyler Lewis with Nick Kendalls, a rising eighth-grader, who is playing JV basketball with Davidson Day this year. How do you feel this season will go for you?
NK: I think it’s going to go great and I think we are going to have a really good season and really just perform out there.
TL: Playing the travel ball season for Team CP3, what’s the difference between travel basketball and high school basketball?
NK: I feel like the pace is really different. I feel like school ball is really slowed down, the offensive schemes are way different, and the coaching is a higher level than AAU.
TL: How would you describe your game as a player?
NK: I feel like I play really good defense and always hustle no matter what.
TL: Obviously you play the game at a high level, what parts of your game are you looking to improve?
NK: I feel like I really need to work on my jumper and mental as well, but also my handle because your handle can always get better.
TL: What are your goals going into this upcoming summer and high school season?
NK: Just to get better and work on my guard skills because I know this year I’ll really need to get into my guard stuff.
TL: Outside of basketball, what are some of your hobbies?
NK: Hanging out with friends, listening to music, and playing the game of course.
TL: Basketball is your only sport, what led to your decision to only play basketball?
NK: My mom and uncle played basketball. Out of all the sports, it just gave me the most challenge and I like having a challenge.
