Although his name has been mentioned various times throughout the recent years, it still feels like Addison Archer is one of the more underappreciated prospects in North Carolina’s Class of 2023. This is likely due to his location within the state, but that hasn’t prevented Archer from having arguably the most productive season of anyone within his class. The Chase High School product just came off a freshman season with averages of 16.8 PPG, 9.0 RPG, and 1.0 BPG while shooting 54% from the floor. They were somewhere in the middle of the pack as a team, but possess a shining star in Archer to build around for the foreseeable future.

The long, wiry power forward has continually worked to stretch his game out towards the perimeter. His ball skills have steadily improved but being able to space the floor with be the next step in his development. Archer already possesses exceptional instincts around the basket on either end of the floor. He finishes at a high rate, can knock down the midrange jumper, or overwhelm opponents out of the post. Archer runs very well in transition and is a constant threat to send shots flying with his rim-protection ability. It’s tough to point out many deficiencies within his game, especially at his age and given how much he’s progressed since middle school. The sky is truly the limit for Archer, who could easily turn into one of the most dominant all-around players within this class sooner than later.
