The Phenom Top 80 event is the top showcase in the state, if not one of the more talent packed ones in the nation. Every year Phenom brings the best freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in the state under one roof and lets them measure themselves versus the best of the best. Look on the rosters of college programs all over the nation and you will find kids that have played in this prestigious event. The talent in each position group is just insane. A quick rundown of who to look for in each group is as follows:

PG’s

Carter Whitt, 6’2 2021 G at Leesville Road HS – Freshman already sports multiple D1 offers. Plays beyond his years.

Jalen Cone, 5’11 2020 G at Walkertown HS – One of the most explosive scorers in the nation in the 2020 class put up 30 plus a game this past season.

Cartier Jernigan, 6’1 2019 G at West Charlotte HS – Cat quick G put up a monster junior season and impressed at Phenom’s Christmas tourney.

Elbert Ellis, 6’2 2019 G at Mt Zion – El has been on our radar for a while now. Solid season helped him pick up multiple D1 offers. No longer flying under the radar.

The Bigs

Patrick Williams, 6’8 2019 F at West Charlotte HS – One of the more gifted athletes in the South if not the US. Holding 15 D1 offers with more to come.

Beau Maye, 6’9 2020 F at Hough HS – Plus rebounder making a name for himself in the 2019 class. Bit underrated in the past but look for him to take a jump in the 80.

Emmanuel Izunabor, 6’9 2019 F at Fayetteville Academy – Big man continues to get better each time we see him. Already holds an offer from ECU, can really help his stock out with a big showing in the 80.
