“Regarded by nearly everyone as a Top-5 prospect in the country, and a highly sought-after prospect from several of the top programs in the county, Ament certainly showed why he has the tools to be even more special in the near future.
There is just something different when watching Ament on the court; he makes the game look easy, carries himself with such professionalism, and can hurt you in so many ways and areas on the court. Being 6’10, Ament instantly catches your eye but when you watch how smoothly he operates on the court, his overall skillset and feel, and how versatile he can be, his game offers so much for his team and will do at the next level.
Ament on the offensive side of the ball is simply unfair at times. Opponents hound him and target him in hopes of slowing him down, but he has such a smooth feel and is a true 3-level scorer. He understands how to use his height extremely well, facing up and knocking down shots high and with touch over defenders, attacking the rim and finishing, staying engaged on the glass to create extra opportunities, or being just as dangerous from the perimeter. Nothing seems to rush him; he takes what the defense gives him but is also such an unselfish player. His vision and court awareness are something that may not get recognized as much but are high-level, delivering on-point passes and making the right decision to find others. His defensive presence doesn’t always get the attention it deserves, but Ament is a difference-maker with his fluidity, timing, and length. Being able to guard multiple positions inside and out provides him a huge advantage in several areas, and brings a ton of versatility.”
