Today’s 6 to Know
Day 2 Standouts From #PhenomGrassrootsTOC
By Jamie Shaw

6’9” 2018 Ody Oguama
NC Red Storm (NC)
Oguama is an elite defender, not only that but he is an incredibly unique one. He has great length, timing and athleticism which allows him to be a very good shot blocker. He also has a non-stop motor and moves very well laterally. Oguama can defend the wing through the five and is a terror at the point of a press. While his offense is still raw, he has great hands and elite feet. Even with no offense he is a game changer. D1s need to watch this one closely.

6’5” 2018 Torey James
Charlotte Royals (NC)
James has a great skill set, as he sees the floor at a very high level. He is a great passer of the ball. James has good length and averaged 12 boards today as well. He makes the game easy for everyone on the floor with him. When the game got to crunch time, they all looked for James and he typically would make plays. With no offers yet, the D1s should start coming soon

5’11” 2018 Jalen Johnson
Durham Hurricanes (NC)
For the second consecutive week, Johnson is an event standout. He has the entire arsenal as a point guard with the ability to get where he wants off the bounce. He has great vision once in the lane, delivering precise passes to his team mates. He is also a dogged defender, strapping up his man for 94 feet. Long arms, a stock body and good athleticism Johnson is the toughest kid on most floors he walks onto. He makes teams better, and will do so with your D1 program taking the reigns for multiple years.

6’ 2018 Kenny Dye
Flight 22 Elite (NC)
Simply put, Dye goes out and makes winning plays. He takes care of the ball, off the bounce, and he scores it at all 3 levels. Dye averaged 18 points 2.3 steals and 6 assists per game today. It was a very impressive performance with multiple D1 coaches taking notice.

6’7” 2018 Adafe Price
Queen City Thunder (NC)
We have spoken about Price ad nasuem to this point. We know what he gives us each time on the floor and his game expands each time out. Today he finished with 22 points, 17 points and 17 points. He shot over 55% from the field and was consistent at all 3 levels. Always Price is a lock down, multi-positional, defender. The first offer is coming soon, and once that first one comes you will see more and more come. He is very good.

6’ 2018 Junior Clay
Chattanooga Elite (TN)
Clay has a quick downhill handle and is a very crafty scorer. All day, he took care of the ball and was able to get where he wanted, on the floor, off the bounce. He has long arms and consistent range that extends beyond the 3 line. Clay was placed on numerous D1 recruiting boards after his Saturday performances.
