The Pangos All-American Camp is something special every year. Premier talent comes into the building, and scouts/fans get a chance to watch them put their game on display and compete. A player that certainly grabbed the attention was Top 50 prospect 2027 6’9 Zion Green, finishing as one of the top prospects at the event.
As one of the top scorers at the event, averaging over 19ppg, Green was able to impress with his all-around game with his 6’9 frame. When talking about his game, Green is comfortable operating inside and out, being a true weapon from the perimeter as well as using his length to get to the rim. With his size at his position, Green can immediately catch your attention with his athleticism in getting to the rim, finishing over defenders emphatically at the rim as well as with touch. But he isn’t just a downhill 6’9 prospect, as he can equally hurt you with his shot-making ability, playing off the ball, and displaying range from multiple levels. He can comfortably be a weapon from behind the arc, getting to his spots and displaying a fluid/ confident release from behind the arc as well as being effective with dribble pull-ups. With the blend of burst, athleticism, and shot-making, it is easy to see why college coaches are heading more his way, and he continues his rise, as his ceiling still remains high as he continues to develop.
When it comes to his recruitment, more programs seem to be entering the picture with recent offers from Alabama, Kansas, Auburn, Providence, and others. But with his performances this summer, full expect that trend to continue with more schools getting involved and looking to make him an even bigger priority.
