In the game of the tournament so far, hometown Northwood and UNC commit Drake Powell took on national power Camden (NJ) and their pair of 5-star Kentucky commits, DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw. The gym was packed with a line of over 200 people waiting outside. Drake Powell set the tone early, hitting two mid-range pull ups early in the first quarter and getting the crowd into it. The crowd would have to wait a little as the rest of the first was sloppy and players were full of nerves and adrenaline. Northwood led after one 9-7 and Drake Powell had 7 points to lead all scorers. In the second, DJ Wagner started to get going, scoring 6 during a Camden 8-0 run early in the quarter. Camden used a separate 6-0 run to end the quarter and take a 23-17 lead into the break. DJ Wagner led all scorers with 12 at the break. Drake Powell was close behind with 11.

The second half opened with Northwood scoring the first 4 points while forcing Wagner into uncomfortable positions on the other end. The Camden lead was cut to 1 with 4 minutes left in the third. Aaron Bradshaw picked up his third foul halfway through the quarter, putting him on the bench. This ended up playing to Camden’s advantage as they played a lineup with five athletic guards and wings, unclogging the paint and allowing them to go on a 9-0 run. After the run, Camden led 36-26 with just under 2 minutes left in the third. Wagner hit another three at the buzzer, pushing the lead to 13, with a score of 42-29. Camden continued to slowly stretch their lead in the fourth, going up by as much as 26 before winning 60-35.
