The final LIVE Period of the summer brought plenty of excitement to the courts, as Phenom Summer Havoc LIVE delivered a loaded weekend of talent, competition, and high-level performances. With programs from across the region battling in front of college coaches, there was no shortage of players and teams making their presence felt. As we look back at all the action, we dive into the programs that impressed, the prospects who elevated their stock, and several intriguing names that caught our attention throughout the weekend.
2028 6’5 Joseph Maynard
Maynard has been a player of interest with his blend of size and ability to score from multiple levels. The 6’5 prospect continues to show flashes of his ability to create and score off the bounce, finishing over defenders well but also being able to knock down shots in other areas. Add on top his ability to be active in other areas and playing with a strong motor, Maynard provides a lot of things for his team.
2028 6’2 Cole Amonett
Amonett is a 6’2 guard who finds ways to be productive, displaying a strong overall feel and IQ for the game. He has a smooth release on his shot, gets to his spots, and shows the ability to bring a well-rounded game. Amonett brings a balanced attack, makes smart decisions, and plays well within the game.
2028 6’1 Bennett Smyly
Smyly has been a player we have highlighted in the past, shining as a shot maker with range and he continues to flourish with that role that is provided for him. He moves well without the ball, shoots the ball with tremendous confidence, and can open up the offense overall with his presence. Smyly consistently showed and provided that throughout the event.
2028 6’2 Eli Bell
Bell continues to be a sneaky guard worth tracking. He operates with confidence and does a nice job creating for himself off the bounce, using his handle and change of direction to generate space and break down defenders. Bell’s ability to create scoring opportunities makes him an intriguing prospect to watch moving forward.
