Team Pittman is a grassroots basketball program that has quickly made its presence felt after completing its first year of competition on the travel circuit. Built with a clear vision and purpose, the program was founded on the belief that players deserve high-quality development, experienced coaching, and meaningful exposure. With seasoned coaches leading the way, Team Pittman aims to help athletes sharpen their skills, grow as competitors, and ultimately reach their goals of playing at the next level.
In its inaugural season, Team Pittman fielded two squads at the 17U and 15U levels, and the year proved to be one filled with growth, chemistry, and success. Both teams competed in the Phenom Hoops League while also taking part in other top-tier tournaments across the Southeast, consistently testing themselves against strong competition. The 17U group put together a strong and steady campaign, highlighted by a 3–1 finish at the Phenom Live event in Raleigh. As the season progressed, the team continued to gel, showing a commitment to playing for one another and competing at a high level every time they took the floor.
The 2028 group, however, authored one of the most dominant runs in recent memory. Joining Team Pittman under the guidance of James Nance, the squad quickly established itself as a force. The team captured the inaugural Phenom Hoops League championship and closed out the travel season with an impressive 43–5 overall record, winning 10 of the 12 tournaments they entered. Their consistency, competitiveness, and ability to rise to the occasion made them one of the standout programs on the circuit this past season.
A major factor in Team Pittman’s growth and success has been its partnership with Phenom Hoops. The Phenom platform provides a positive, family-oriented environment where teams can compete, develop, and be properly showcased. Events are well organized, feature elite competition, and consistently offer exposure opportunities through live coverage, real-time write-ups, and in-depth game evaluations that highlight both team and individual progress. These elements, paired with the strong leadership and support of the Lewis family and Phenom staff, have made the Phenom Experience one of the best in the nation.
As Team Pittman looks ahead to 2026, the program is firmly back in the spotlight with Phenom Hoops, building on a foundation of success and momentum. With a commitment to development, competition, and exposure, Team Pittman continues to position itself as a program on the rise—one that is prepared to help its players take the next step in their basketball journeys.
