Tonight, kicked started the first night of the July Live Period. The Phenom Summer Havoc
Showcase was the place where talented young prospects had a chance to put their skills to the
test. The Upward Star Center houses 6 courts, and all 6 had competitive games to start off
opening night. I had the chance to catch the action that took place on courts 5 & 6. These are the
players who stood out the most.

Florida Future 2021 6' PG Javian Mccollum-
Mccollum can catch the eye of any basketball scout or fan with his ability to control the tempo of
the game. His pace and vision stood out the most among his peers. He has a great feel and IQ for
the game which makes it easier for his teammates. Javian has a quick first step that allows him to
blow by almost every other guard. His shooting and slashing ability is good as well. Javian is a
solid prospect that coaches need to watch.

Florida Future 2021 6'6 SF Tre Carroll-
One of the best prospects I had a chance to watch tonight was Carroll. In warm ups he knocked
down 3s with ease. When the game started one had a chance to see his full arsenal on display. He
rebounds extremely well and knows how to establish position on the defensive end. He handles
the ball well for his size. Taking it coast to coast on numerous occasions. Carroll has a strong
understanding for his age and plays within himself, which allows him to flourish at his position.
Coaches need to monitor his progress.

Florida Future 2021 5'11 Alan Cadeno-
Knock down shooter pretty much sums it all up. When it came to making shots, Cadeno was
making it look easy. His strong frame gives him the advantage against defenders. He's able to
bounce off and still finish plays. He straps up on defense which stood out more than his shooting
ability. During 2 games he knocked down 8 3s. Expect Alan to torch the nets all weekend.

Spartanburg Thunder 2021 PG 5'11 Cason Atkins-
Atkins knows how to play the game. He does a great job of getting his team into their offense
and making sure its ran correctly. He showed a quick burst when attacking the basket and some
crafty finishes. On the defensive end Cason is not afraid to do the dirty work. As his game
progress the attention will surely come.

Spartanburg Thunder 2021 6' Andrew Colasurdo-
Andrew is the energy player that every team needs. He showed good flashes of skill throughout
the game. he can finish around the basket well and knock down jumpers. He is always in the mix
when he's on the court. on the defensive end he grabs boards often and does all the small things
which makes him a very valuable asset. With the energy and effort Colasurdo brings eyes will be
on him for sure.

Team Loaded 2022 5'10 PG Jacob Newman
Newman was very exciting from start to finish. He always found himself wherever the ball was.
On the offensive end is where his game is polished the most. He has a strong build that he uses to
finish at the rim. His crafty handles allow him to get to his spots. The passing ability that he's
equipped with is beyond his years. On multiple occasions he was finding teammates that didn't
appear to be open. Newman will be one to watch over the next couple of years.

Team Xplosion 2021 5'10 PG Hamilton Campbell
Campbell was the best passer I saw tonight regardless of class. Setting up teammates was his
specialty. Breaking down the defense with his smooth handle, and dishing off no look passes for
buckets was normal for Campbell. His speed is sneaky which made it difficult for defenders to
get a timing on him. His feel for the PG position was solid. Keep a close eye on Hamilton
Campbell.
