Southwest Guilford put on an impressive offensive display at the Bobby Martin Classic in front of a packed gym at RJ Reynolds in a 85-69 victory over the hosts.

Winston Salem, North Carolina- Keyshaun, (23 pts) and Kobe Langley (12 pts), really stole the show. The hosts RJ Reynolds battled hard but two things stood out above all in this contest, ball movement and defensive pressure, something the Cowboys operated very well. Currently ranked as our top public school in the latest Phenom Hoops polls, this group proved why they’re one of the most dangerous teams in the state regardless of classification. The ball movement is truly poetry in motion these guys zip the ball around the court, and almost always find a high percentage shot.

This group plays fast on both ends and they’re lethal in transition, they forced the Demons into a lot of costly turnovers and prevented them from truly establishing a rhythm. Southwest has a habit of forcing teams to play at their pace which causes all times of havoc. The depth of this team is also extremely hard to match, the Cowboys have a sound bench that provides scoring and defense. Opposing teams get worn down by these guys throughout the game.

Reynolds led by Mysta Goodloe (21 pts) and Tobias Johnson (16 pts) absolutely came to play, Goodloe is the senior leader and has proven to be one of the top two- way guards in the triad. Johnson is noticeably improved from a year ago he’s added a three point shot to his bag, he’s finishing around the cup with both hands, and overall he looks extremely more confident on both ends. This team will be a favorite to claim the Central Piedmont 4A conference, they have a nice big three with Goodloe, Johnson, and Devin Ingram.
