NC Empire: MJ Wilkerson 24

Player/Game Notes:

Both teams brought size, speed and skill to the gym this weekend making for a good match-up in this one. The Empire started out hot behind the hot hand of G MJ Wilkerson opening up a 17-9 lead midway through the first half. The lead would grow to 25-17 at the half. In the second half every time the Wolves would make a run, Empire would answer, until that last 6 minutes of the game when the Wolves would stalk the Empire down and take a lead late. The last 2 minutes would go back and forth with the Wolves getting the win at the end.. Player notes are as follows:

AJ Rossi, 6' 2020 G with Carolina Wolves'' Tough competitor got it done in the 2nd'half as his efforts on both ends of the floor led the comeback. Plus floor general who knows how to score. Nice stroke/range plus ability to penetrate and finish.

MJ Wilkerson, 6'5 2020 G with NC Empire'' Kid is wired to score and gets it done at all 3 levels on offense. Great size and athleticism on the wing. Handles are solid as well. Easy projection to the next level. Big time bouncer!

Myles Evans, 6'9 2020 F with NC Empire'' Promising young big just starting to scratch the surface of his abilities. Fantastic length, will need to fill out now as there is not much meat on them bones yet. Always around the rim on defense and shows signs on offense. Lots to like about this kids future.

Josiah Shackleford. 6'8 2020 F with Carolina Wolves'' Back to back plus outings for the young big. Looked more aggressive on the offensive end than we saw yesterday. At his best when playing with power on both ends of the floor. Next D1 big out of the Wolves program.

Kaleb Brooks, 6'5 2020 W with Carolina Wolves'' Yesterday kid dropped bombs from deep while showing off the touch. Today he showed the power and ability to work the glass. As he learns to put both together consistently his stock will rise.
