2029 6’9 Jeremiah Triplin (James Island)
Triplin is regarded as a Top 50 prospect, and that ranking could continue to rise with a strong sophomore season at James Island. After getting a chance to watch him during the Phenom Team Camp, it was clear that Triplin had developed considerably as a true center. His fluidity and feel at the position were quite impressive, as he displayed the ability to put the ball on the floor, get to his spots, and establish himself as a force in the paint. Triplin possesses excellent touch and footwork around the basket, runs the floor well from rim to rim, and can stretch the court with his face-up game. That doesn’t even account for his presence as an elite rim protector on defense. Triplin possesses an impressive collection of tools that make him one of the top big men in the country.
2029 6’5 Babar Johnson (Westwood)
When watching Johnson operate on the court, it is clear that he plays with another gear and approaches every game with something to prove. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and is constantly looking to validate the belief he has in his abilities, something that has stood out in a major way throughout the years. At 6’5, Johnson possesses a wide-ranging offensive arsenal. He can score inside and out, attack off the bounce, create space for his shot, and produce without the ball. Simply put, he is wired to score. Johnson plays with a relentless motor and consistently backs up his confidence with his performance. Expect him to put on a show during the upcoming high school season.
2029 6’2 Sheldon Davis (Crestwood)
Davis is emerging as one of the premier guards in the region for the Class of 2029 and could be the top point guard in South Carolina for his class. He possesses several qualities that immediately grab your attention, including positional size, feel, creativity, playmaking ability, and legitimate scoring prowess. Davis plays with patience and understands how to pick his spots, attack the defense, and create opportunities for himself and others. He provides an impressive balance between facilitating and scoring while remaining aggressive and under control. That doesn’t even account for the smaller details he consistently handles at his position, all of which make him one of the premier guards in the state.
2029 6’5 Khiry White (Irmo)
White is an extremely intriguing prospect. Although he does not currently receive the same national attention as some of his peers, he continues to excel and provide consistent production. The 6’5 prospect plays bigger than his listed height and simply seems to outwork those around him, relentlessly attacking the rim and applying pressure to opponents. White possesses the athleticism commonly associated with South Carolina prospects, allowing him to finish above the rim and establish an effective interior presence. However, he also has more skill and long-term upside than he is often given credit for, making him an intriguing player to monitor as he continues developing. At this stage, coaches can expect consistent production through his motor, athleticism, physicality, and willingness to compete.
