The Pangos All-American Camp is something special every year. Premier talent comes into the building, and scouts/fans get a chance to watch them put their game on display and compete. 2027 RJ Moore, a familiar name with Phenom Hoops, was on deck at the event out west, as he looked to make a statement with his game against some of the premier talent in the country.
Moore finished the event averaging 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists at the event and he was able to shine not only as a scorer and shotmaker but also showcased more of his overall game. When you talk about Moore, you have the blend of a prospect who is wired to score but can impact the game in other areas. And one can say that there is still potential for development with his game as he heads to the collegiate level.
Watching Moore over the years, what immediately stands out is his confidence as a scorer, using his length, confidence, and shotmaking to his advantage. He can rise over defenders with ease to knock down shots from multiple levels, confidently displaying range from behind the arc or being effective inside the arc as well. But he also flourishes with his ability to create off the bounce, finish at the rim, get to his spots, and impact the game on the glass as well, factors in his game that he showed more of out west at Pangos. He can be methodical in how he approaches the game, picking his spots, playing on and off the ball, displaying tremendous confidence with his range, and his overall shot-making ability, but he was able to open more eyes to how well-rounded he can be as a player for his team.
As for his recruitment, he remains a hot target for many schools, with offers from Syracuse, East Carolina, Virginia, Florida State, Appalachian State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and others. And after a strong showing at the camp and with more coming this summer, Moore looks to continue this strong play and build on it in his recruitment.
