Although we’ve reached the halfway point of the travel ball season, there’s still plenty of available college-worthy prospects throughout North Carolina. The Lions Unsigned group is a terrific example. Based out of Winston-Salem Christian School, they have a collection of talent that should appeal to several levels of college coaches. Though multiple guys are already priorities for next-level programs, folks would be wise to lay groundwork with their entire roster. That being said, let’s take a closer look at their standout duo from this past weekend: Alex Pissis and Yannis Tchouameni.

We’ve discussed Pissis at length, most recently stating, “Although his lack of recruitment is likely due to injury, Pissis should still be an obvious priority for Division I programs. Between his skillset and physical tools, he’s able to impact the game in a variety of different ways. Pissis is a powerful athlete with size, toughness, and the ability to wreak havoc when utilizing his high motor. He’s a useful creator with the ability to make shots off the catch or bounce while setting up others at a solid rate. Though it’s confusing why he’s still available, PIssis will be a quality addition at the next level.”

Meanwhile, Tchouameni is a reliable shooting threat with size, feel, and defensive ability. He’s a capable creator, but arguably finds more success as an off-ball option. Tchouameni hits shots at a quality percentage from beyond the arc while making the extra pass and attacking closeouts as needed. He defends with energy, toughness, and does the dirty work however possible. Tchouameni already knows how to produce as a low-maintenance piece who operates within the flow of the action. He has an enticing frame with long arms, solid athleticism, and plenty of upside on both ends of the floor.
