With summer coming to an end, it is time to reflect on all the talent and players we watched throughout the months on the Phenom Hoops platform. Again, our job at Phenom is to provide a platform for players to be seen and recognized, which is what we are looking to do. Reviewing so much film and reports, our team is looking to shed light on players that college coaches should be looking at or tracking, whether they are big-time talents or hidden gems.
Dub Salem ended the season off with a bang and a player that was consistent throughout the summer was 2028 guard Jordan Jacobson from Burlington Christian. Jacobson will be a guard for college coaches to watch more as a sneaky pick, as the 5’9 prospect plays bigger than listed and isn’t afraid of stepping up to embrace a challenge. When you talk about his game, Jacobson does a great job being able to control the tempo of the game and create for others. He is a tough-minded leader on both sides of the floor who excels in helping run the show but can turn it on when he needed to step up, having multiple big scoring performances throughout the summer for Dub Salem. A strong presence both offensive and defensively, Jacobson operates well off the bounce but can be just as deadly from outside, knocking down shots with range. He also does a great job in being a presence defensively, setting the tone with his on-ball presence.
Jacobson was big this summer for Dub Salem and showed more of what he could be capable of being for Burlington Christian during the LIVE period. Overall, he has proven to be a valuable asset on the court and expect him to carry that momentum into the high school season.

He’s relentless in attacking, getting into the paint and to his spots, while showing the ability to score in a variety of ways. Time after time, he has been able to be a consistent scoring presence and lead his team.”
“There’s an abundance of difference-makers within the Dub Salem organization, but Jacobson is deserving of more attention for his unselfishness and consistency as a leader for this group. Though slightly undersized, he’s a pure gamer who runs the offense as a main creator and scoring option. Jacobson utilizes his quickness and tight handle to break down opponents off the bounce and set up others or mix it up as scorer from all levels. He’s a capable finisher and three-point shooter, but is arguably at his best in the midrange. Jacobson also provides a scrappy defensive presence at the point of attack.”
