The Grind Session continues to be a proving ground for emerging talent, and this past week proved once again that new names are ready to step into the spotlight. From under-the-radar prospects showing notable growth to first-time standouts making strong initial impressions, the court was filled with players who demanded attention through production, competitiveness, and impact on both ends. Scouting Spotlight: New Names from the Grind Session highlights the prospects who introduced themselves in a big way—players trending upward and quickly becoming names college coaches should start tracking closely.

2028 6’2 Aaron Bryant (Gillion)

Gillion is a program that offers plenty of talent, but a new name, personally, for me, that caught my attention was 2028 6’2 Aaron Bryant. In a limited role for this team, Bryant was able to make the most of his minutes and showed flashes of what the future could hold for the young guard. Bryant was able to flourish out in the open floor, attacking well and pushing the tempo, getting inside the defense and creating well off the bounce with his speed. What also impressed me was his intensity on the defensive end, applying strong on-ball pressure and creating issues for opponents.

2026 6’0 BJ Bradford (Hamilton Heights)

Bradford, a 6’0 guard and leader for Hamilton Heights, has had a strong start to the season as he continues to prove his ability to fill it up offensively. Even at his size, Bradford plays with a ton of confidence and has a quick trigger on his shot, getting to his spots, displaying range, and understanding how to finish around defenders.  Right now, he holds an offer from UT-Martin, but he could be a dynamic guard for a program and deserves more looks his way.

2026 6’1 Dominique Fisher (Academy of Central Florida)

Fisher was one who played really well throughout the week for Central Florida. A roster full of big-time prospects that you will be seeing at the next level, Fisher is one that may go a bit under the radar but he proved himself on the big stage. The 6’1 guard created well with shiftiness, scored well off the bounce, and knocked down shots from multiple levels. Again, Fisher is a guard that may not always get the bright lights his way, but he played consistently throughout the week to deserve some looks.

2027 7’3 Koang Bol Kuany (Huntington Prep)

Kuany, who certainly brings size at 7’3, really impressed with getting a look his way and showcasing his impact. The big man moves well for his size, fluidly running the floor from rim to rim, displaying good feel inside with touch around the basket, attacking the glass well, and also doing a great job in not only being an active presence on the glass but also as a shot-blocker. He brought a strong presence when watching him, can be a true lob catcher at the rim, plays with energy, and impacted the game on both sides. Right now, he holds an offer from Texas A&M, but he should get more looks his way.
