South Carolina was featured quite well down in Rock Hill at the Phenom Rock Hill Live, as plenty of teams came to compete throughout a tremendous weekend of basketball. One team that walked away with a strong overall showing was the SC Kings 17u, finishing 3-1 overall and displaying strong guard play throughout. This is a well-run organization that is looking to put the spotlight on some valuable prospects that could be names for college coaches to check out. Here are some of the players who caught our eyes with their overall play.

2027 Carter Edwards

Edwards was one who was able to provide a spark on the court with his overall play. Shot the ball well from behind the arc, proving to be a threat from the perimeter on several occasions but also attacked at the right times, applied pressure on the defense, and brought a scrappy overall mentality to the court.

2028 Hassan Lake

Lake, one of the younger prospects on the roster, should be a name to keep an eye on. He was a dynamic playmaker on the court with his ability to push in transition, score off the bounce, find ways to create and penetrate, and get to the line as well. He was a true playmaker on the court when the ball was in his hands.

2027 Carter Jackson

Jackson brought value to the floor with his play, being an effective scoring option when he needed to be but also playing well within the offense. When his time came, he was able to step up and be a threat in attacking and creating, scoring well off the bounce and getting inside the defense.

2027 Aquil Lake

The guard was another player who was able to thrive, especially with his ability to be a lethal threat from outside. Gets to his spots well, and can make his presence felt from outside, displaying confidence behind the arc. On top of that, he does a great job in being a presence on both sides of the court.
