12:00 pm – Concord Academy vs. Watauga (Girls)

Starting the day, two of the top prospects went at it between 2028 Justice Alexander and 2025 Kate Sears and both performed well. It was a tight battle early on, with Concord Academy holding the narrow 16-14 lead after one, and eventually expanding on that at halftime leading 30-23. Both teams continued to battle but Concord Academy maintained its lead throughout. It was the trio of Alexander, Taylor Smith, and Jayla Brower who combined for 69 of the team’s 71 points for Concord Academy and that was all they needed.

Final: Concord Academy 71 – Watauga 56

12:30 pm – Hunter Huss vs. Queens Grant (Aux Gym)

A very interesting contest to start the day in the Aux gym, as Hunter Huss and Queens Grant looked to get on the winning page Saturday afternoon. It was a strong game when it comes to guard play, as both teams traded blows early on. Shots started to fall for both teams, as 2028 Jaleel Smith led the way for Hunter Huss. But Ian Howard, and the size of 2028 Chase Smith and 2027 Cannon DeBerry helped Queens Grant secure a halftime lead. The offense continued to pick up in the second half, as we had a back-and-forth show in the second half. Queens Grant brought a balanced attack overall, eventually helping secure the 81-60 victory.

1:30 pm – Mallard Creek vs. Lake Norman (Girls)

Second game of the day, two talented teams went to battle between Lake Norman and Mallard Creek, both of which have the talent to make a deep run. Lake Norman was able to jump out to the early 14-9 lead after the first quarter, but opened it up big time in the second quarter, eventually leading 35-19. Mallard Creek got things going in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 46-35. But the offensive firepower from Alexis Shehan, Ryana Minad, and Kelsey Rhyne were too much in the end. 2025 Elle Stone led the way for Mallard Creek with 16 points.

Final: Lake Norman 60 – Mallard Creek 52

2:00 pm – Weddington vs. Mooresville (Aux Gym)

Underrated matchup here in the early afternoon, as Weddington and Mooresville were looking for a strong win at the George Lynch Invitational. We were all tied up at 16 at the end of the first quarter, and it stayed a close game throughout the first half, eventually having Mooresville leading 28-26. Guard play was strong for Mooresville in the second half but KJ Younger and company continued to compete, as we were all knotted up at 42 at the end of the third quarter. It was the guard play though at the end for Mooresville that was the difference, with Kyri Wilson and Nolan Ericson stepping up big to secure the win.

Final: Mooresville 63 – Weddington 54

3:00 pm – Caldwell Academy vs. Christ School

A heavyweight matchup between two very talented teams, Caldwell Academy went up against Christ School who was coming off a big win on Day 1. Both teams played well throughout the game, but it was the guard play that helped lead the charge. 2026 Tyler Jones stepped up big for Christ School while 2025 Madden Collins made valuable plays as well. 2025 Zymicah Wilkins was a force down low and on the boards, recording a double-double. For Caldwell Academy, Neal Swindell continued to be a force physically and downhill, while 2025 Jaylen Cross did a little bit of everything. It was a tight game throughout, but Christ School was able to create space in the fourth and secure a 70-60 victory.

3:30 pm – Concord Academy vs. Greensboro Day (Aux Gym)

Another heavyweight game going on in the other gym, Greensboro Day and Concord Academy squared up once again. It was an offensive struggle but also a defensive battle, as both teams went back and forth in the first half. Concord Academy was able to jump out early with the perimeter game, but GDS used its size well. Concord Academy held a 19-18 halftime lead. Concord though got things going offensively in the third, creating some space but GDS would be able to punch right back. It was a one-score game with under a minute to go in the game and 2028 Micah Gunter had an open three but just missed. Concord Academy was able to secure the win from the line after that.

4:30 pm – Chambers vs. Burlington School

Continuing into the afternoon, two powerhouse programs squared up in what brought some Top-100 talent to the court. Chambers and TBS went at it, with both teams coming out strong and trading blows. TBS was able to gain the narrow lead at halftime, 28-23, as Kaden Hammond and King Gibson led the charge. 2026 Markus Kerr had things rolling throughout the game, finishing with 22 points but TBS simply got it done on both sides. They were able to increase their lead a little bit each time, and eventually held a double-digit lead in the fourth. That is all they needed, as they walked away with another big win.

5:00 pm – Bull City Prep vs. Grace Christian (Aux Gym)

Going into the later games, Bull City Prep and Grace Chrisitan went to battle in what would be a thrilling game. Despite Grace Christian being short-handed without 2025 Michael Phillips, they played at a high level. Bull City Prep held the narrow 18-14 lead at the end of the first, and carried into halftime, leading 30-28. The third and fourth quarters were an absolute battle between these two teams. So much, so that we needed overtime, as we were tied at 61 at the end of four quarters. The guard play though was too much, led by Ty Graham and Viktor Alao, as Bull City Prep was able to secure the win.

6:00 pm – Providence Day vs. Combine Academy

Two teams that played on Day 1 were both looking to bounce back in a big way on Day 2. It was an intense game early on, with both teams looking to attack. Providence Day faced a tough injury early on with Trajan Thompson, and things started to roll from there. the guard play and offensive playmaking from Combine was on display, as they were able to build upon their lead heading into halftime. The offensive didn’t stop there, as 2026 Yoance, 2025 Kaden Magwood, 2025 CJ Purdie, and others all continued to find ways to score. Providence Day struggled at times to find its rhythm, but they had guys step up and compete until the very end. In the end, it was all Combine in this one.

6:30 pm – Quality Education vs. Charlotte Performance Institute (Aux Gym)

Good game going on in the Aux gym, Quality Education and Charlotte Performance Institute went to battle in what was an intense and close game throughout. Neither team was able to break away from each other early on, with Charlotte Performance Institute holding the halftime lead 33-29. The guard play was really good, as QEA had length at the position including 2025 Sabree Scott, while big man Nate Malosa shows his versaility and impact on the glass. 2026 Jordan King led the way with 21 points while JJ Sati-Grier was off the charts again with 19 points. But the guard duo came up short with Quality Education getting the big win.

7:30 pm – Davidson Day vs. Myers Park

Ending the game in the main gym, the home crowd brought the energy with Myers Park hosting Davidson Day. The Mustangs feed off the energy and came our red hot from outside, knocking down shots from outside. They also got it done defensively, as they were able to build upon their first-quarter lead, eventually surprising many with a 37-14 halftime lead. Davidson Day looked to come out strong, chipping away at the lead and eventually getting it under single digits in the fourth quarter. Slowly but surely, Davidson Day kept chipping away, cutting it to a one-possession game with three minutes to go. The full-court press created a ton of issues for Myers Park, as we came down to the final minute. Myers Park was able to score, but Lincoln Vinson answered with and And-1 to tie the game at 55 seconds with 19 seconds to go. Myers Park wasn’t able to score and we went into overtime. The game continued to be a battle in OT, but it was Lincoln Vinson and Levon Jacobs late that secured the come-from-behind victory on the road.

8:00 pm – Carmel Christian vs. Ashbrook (Aux Gym)

Last game of the night, Carmel Christian and Ashbrook met up and Carmel Christian came out looking to make a statement. They went up early by double-digit, leading 22-9 after the first quarter. They continued to build upon that from there, leading 47-20 at halftime and expanding it to 69-33 after three. This game was in control from start to finish for Carmel Christian in impressive fashion, eventually winning big to end the day. Issac Byers Jr. led for Ashbrook, but it was a balanced attack overall led by Chandler Kennedy and company for Carmel.
