Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the Super Bowl watching Piedmont! The Sadster is here to release his latest rankings once again. Last week was wild and wooly as we saw a lot of movement within the rankings. One team fell off the “hot seat” #5 ranking again, another suffered an upset loss at home and yet another lost on the road to a squad that used that same win to springboard back to the 5! There were also 2 teams that finally broke into the rankings. This week marks the final week of the regular season and it’s been another memorable one so without further delay, we will now rush……TO THE 5!!!
1. MOORESVILLE 16-2 – THE BLUE DEVILS WENT 1-0, PLAY OLD FRIEND LAKE NORMAN TWICE THIS WEEK.
2. NORTH MECK 18-3 – THE VIKINGS WENT 2-0 COMPLETING THE SWEEP OF CHAMBERS AT THE COUGARS’ DEN WITHOUT ASHTON PIERCE, HOSTS WEST CHARLOTTE ON SENIOR NIGHT FRIDAY.
3. MARVIN RIDGE 16-4 – THE MAVERICKS PAID BACK CATHOLIC LAST WEEK, SHOULD GO 3-0 THIS WEEK TO LOCK DOWN THE 2 SEED FOR THE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT.
4. CATHOLIC 18-4 – THE POPE’S FAVORITE TEAM WENT 1-1, SHOULD GO 2-0 TO SEAL THE TOP SEED IN THEIR CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT THIS WEEK.
5. WEST CHARLOTTE 16-4 – THE LIONS WERE STUNNED AT HOME BY BUTLER, WILL TRY AND SPOIL NORTH MECK’S SENIOR NIGHT ON FRIDAY.
