Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the not-very-snowy Piedmont! The Great One is here to once again release his latest rankings. Last week was exam week so there was limited action but there was one unexpected change. #2 North Meck was shocked at home by DSO list member Hough for the Vikings’ first home loss in 3 years. Then #4 Ardrey Kell outlasted former “Hot Seat” holder #5 Catholic in 2 OTs. Two teams in the rankings, West Charlotte and Chambers have picked up major transfers, which will be sure to shake things up as we go along. Without further adieu, we will now get……TO THE 5!!!!
1. WEST CHARLOTTE 12-2 – THE LIONS WENT 1-0 ON EXAM WEEK, ON THE ROAD NEXT WEEK WITH A SHOWDOWN AT CHAMBERS ON FRIDAY.
2. MOORESVILLE 13-2 – THE DEVILS TROUNCED N. IREDELL, TRAVEL TO DAVIE COUNTY ON TUESDAY.
3. ARDREY KELL 14-2 – THE KNIGHTS WON A 2 OT DONNYBROOK AGAINST CONFERENCE RIVAL CATHOLIC, HAS AN INTERESTING GAME WITH EAST MECK ON FRIDAY.
4. MARVIN RIDGE 13-3 – THE MAVS NIPPED PESKY SUN VALLEY IN OT, KEY HOMESTAND AGAINST CUTHBERTSON AND PIEDMONT ON TAP THIS WEEK.
5. NORTH MECK 12-3 – THE NORSEMEN CAN’T REEL TOO MUCH FROM THE HOUGH UPSET AS RIVAL CHAMBERS COMES TO TOWN TUESDAY.
