Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the Patriot Season celebrating Piedmont! The Sadster is here to give out some shouts to the standout players he witnessed at the RISE Center in Bermuda Run during Phenom’s 2nd Team Camp Session. Summer is the time to get better and there were plenty of teams doing just that. It is also the time to get sneak previews on teams that will sneak up on everyone next season. One in particular that stood out to The Great One is China Grove Carson who has added a couple of pieces since last year. They impressed The Amazing One and were missing their best guard. Queens Grant is another team that impressed but there’s no surprise there. Chapel Hill featured a Mr. Inside, Mr. Outside combination of Juice McIlwaine and Niko Davis that were fun to watch. Myers Park was also a solid squad to watch and didn’t have their 6’7 starter either. They won one game on a buzzer beater from beyond the volleyball line. Broughton was the close-but-no-cigar team but they showed good spacing and shooting skills. RJ Reynolds and Durham Jordan also had good showings on The Sadster’s court.
