River City Reign has been a strong organization over the years bringing some intriguing names to the Phenom Hoops platform, and they continue to do just that. This past weekend at the Phenom May Madness, they were able to present new prospects while also proving themselves once again on the big stage.
There were several players that grabbed the attention of our scouts this weekend that were on deck, as we highlight some of the players that earned our attention and will be ones to watch down the road.
What Was Said About the Program this Weekend:
“2029 Duke Thompson (River City Reign 2029) is a fun watch. Smooth pace guard with a creative handle that he uses to successfully create separation. Willing midrange shotmaker, advanced game at the lead guard spot. Will only get much better from here.”
“It was a balanced attack from River City Reign 2028 today. 2028 6’2 Isaiah Jones consistently attacked and forced the action, while 2028 Landon Cooper was an impact player as a scorer. 2028 5’9 Elijah Morris did a great job balancing it out with his perimeter and shotmaking.”
“2029 Jordan Grant (River City Reign 2029) brought a well-rounded game overall throughout the game. He was able to attack off the bounce, score from outside, and be a constant presence throughout the game.”
“2028 Isaiah Jones (River City Reign 2028) and 2028 Elijah Morris were two strong factors in today’s game. Both were able to bring a ton of value and make plays, finish well, and play well within the game.”
“6’7 ‘27 Donovan Stinney (River City Reign) continues to highlight clear appeal as a next-level prospect. Incredibly long, fluid big man with the ability to finish, rebound, and alter shots defensively. Runs the floor well in transition.”
“2029 Jordan Grant (River City Reign) is another consistent producer on this team. Smooth playmaker that can assume either guard spot. Makes smart reads in transition, gets downhill, fair positional size. Varsity-level contributor.”
“2029 Duke Thompson (River City Reign) had a strong second half in helping propel his team to a win. Really was able to attack the defense and create, force the action and score off the bounce, as well as score from outside.”
