Perry is a dynamic athlete that is electric off the bounce with the crafty ability to get into the seams to create for himself or his teammates. CP plays at a very fast pace and impacts the game in all ways. CP can score whenever he wants from pretty much anywhere. A fierce rebounder for his size. CP thrives at controlling the game and uses his explosive speed to get almost whatever when it’s needed. He loves to play off 2 feet but can also rise up and score off the bounce. He handles defensive pressure well and uses his strong handles to take care of the ball. But CP believes his greatest strength is getting downhill, attacking the rim to score, or kicking it out for someone else to score once he causes the defense to collapse as they scramble to adjust to him.

This past season CP averaged 18 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5 assists as a varsity freshman. and earned All SPC conference, All Rowan County 1st team, and All-District 3rd team along the way in District 11 of NC. The most motivating thing that happened last year that bothered CP the most was losing by 2 in their state playoff game. CP felt like they could’ve made a huge run in the playoffs and was hurt after losing that first playoff game, so, this upcoming season, he wants to win the conference and make a huge run in the playoffs with his guys. While playing with the Carolina Riptide 2027, CP wants to get better and develop his game to get ready for the high school season and make enough noise to get some college interest or possibly offers! But CP focused on areas of the most improvement this summer will be to become better defensively and become a better leader. His goals going into next season are to win the conference, to be conference POY, and to make the All-state team, while ending the season with at least 20 wins and to make a run in the playoffs. CP most importantly wants everyone to see his improvement and to continue to impress everyone. who sees him shine.

In every game, CP has fire and will be ready to play. He just always wants to be the best and CP always wakes up wanting to work harder than everyone else. CP wants to be the best player out there and will always have a desire to work and prove people wrong. CP believes in himself and always has a fire to be the best every day with the desire to prove himself. CP handles adversity literally with just his competitiveness and will to win understanding to win sometimes it takes adversity and hard times. CP tries to use the adversity and the losses to grow and learn how to become a better player knowing that the grind is hard and if you want it you will go through whatever it takes to win.

A coach can expect that CP is going to compete as hard as he can every day knowing CP is going to learn from the results and will spend an insane amount of time trying to find ways to get better! He will figure out what will work for him while evaluating himself after bad or good games to see what he can do to help himself and the team. CP will never lose confidence or belief in what he does and is willing to take coaching and criticism to improve. No matter what happens to him, all he wants to do is win, doing whatever it takes for his team to win at all costs. CP thinks he is good enough to play at the D1 level and that’s his dream like every kid pushing hard for the next level. CP also understands that it’s about the right fit, the right coach, and the right style. CP’s desire is to play at the highest level possible and compete at the collegiate level, while getting his education wherever he can play knowing As a leader on the floor CP will help the coach and team improve cause he is HUNGRY to WIN and COMPETE and that’s it. I certainly agree this young stud has all the intangibles to excel anywhere he chooses to land. CP is everything I heard before I watched him play. His energy and hustle fueled his team well and he played to win even if he wasn’t the leading scorer. CP has incredible court vision and a high IQ to dissect a defense like a hot knife through country butter with lightning speed. CP is certainly a name to know and start to get on your radar now. Stay tuned.
