2026 Zach Goins (Foothills)
A point guard’s activity level had to be high on both ends and Zach does exactly that. In a structured system of motion offense unfamiliar to most eighth-graders, Zach finds lots of ways to gets himself involved. He has scoring capabilities, mainly downhill drives, but doesn’t need to do so to impact things. His game flow management and rebounding battles alone make him a key piece to why they can run the system they do and have success with it.

2027 Josiah Dorsette (Save Sports)
Much like his older brother 2025 Joshua Dorsette, Josiah is also a high IQ pass first point guard that teammates will enjoy playing with. He has great court awareness as well as the willingly unselfish mindset to constantly distribute and get teammates involved with his penetration dish off regularly. Small guards can win big games, and Josiah proved that on the defensive end too, as he snuck into passing lanes frequently and converted easy points with just making the simple and right basketball plays.

2026 Rami Goins (Carolina Legend)
Aligned with a talented and balanced group that will be one to watch, Rami does a good job of leading the charge and setting a tone. He’s a high-level finisher that goes up balanced off two feet with two hands, has great rim awareness, and the ability to seemingly hang in the air to make adjustments and score with his eyes. With his build and athleticism, he’s also a worthy defender that can apply pressure and force turnovers while being able to hold off the adversary on the other end as a ball-handler when applied on him.

2024 Amir Alexander (Winston 76ers)
Amir is a guy that has come on strong as of late and seems to be getting better each week. He’s a strong athletic forward who operates best getting downhill but proved his jumpshot is just as dangerous by knocking down several tough contested jays to get the game started. He brings a spark on both ends with his energy and intensity that, when paired with school teammate George Maxwell should blossom their games and carry into their junior years at North Rowan, building off a third-round playoff team that was primarily underclassmen.

2024 Jasean Williams (Team DWill)
Jasean is displaying his full guard game right now and having his hands in everything good for his team. I first saw him last year with the Gaters and since then he’s continued to expand his game and build his physique. He’s a reliable pullup in the lane type shooter that paces the defenders riding him with his body well and finishes up high at the rim with balance and control. With the seniors graduating from Wesleyan this year, he has the chance to chisel out a quality lead role and have success the next two years.
