There may not be many people making their way out to Bandy High School except some of the local fans around the area, but Phenom Hoops is here to spotlight a prospect that should continue to be on the radar of college programs. And 2025 6’9 Landon Vaughan is no stranger to the Phenom Hoops platform, and he continued to show why he may be a sneaky big man for college coaches to check out more.
Vaughan has been playing on the Phenom Hoops platform for some time now and each time we watch him, he seems to get better and better. Vaughan was extremely productive when playing with the Carolina Riptide, and he has only continued that strong play into this season at Bandy. But don’t get us wrong, this isn’t something that has happened overnight, as he has been producing for the Trojans for some time now.
But we had another opportunity to watch Vaughan in action and he was impressive again. He may not blow you away with flash but this is a big man that is still unsigned and just finds ways to produce. He has good timing on the glass, creates opportunities on the offensive boards, has nice touch and finishing ability around the rim, and has continued to improve in his comfort level in stepping out from behind the arc as he hit four 3-pointers at the Phenom 828 Showcase. Vaughan has been racking up some impressive double-doubles, and there is still upside left in his game at the next level. As he continues to get stronger and bigger, and continue to develop his overall game more, he is a very underrated big man in North Carolina that should be having more eyes his way.
