Many players in the Class of 2026 are wrapping up their recruitment but that doesn’t mean there aren’t players that could be late steals. Two players that fit that bill and have risen higher on our radars after their play at the NC Top 80 are 2026 6’8 Stephano Farrington and 2026 6’8 Aden Jeffries.
Both bring length, both possess an intriguing skill set, and both have made strong strides this summer in developing their game. And they both put that on full display against the best at the NC Top 80, proving that they should be on D1 radars and be recruited more by college programs.
Farrington caught our attention on several occasions, clearly adding more to his game while bringing the same athleticism to the table. At 6’8, the length forward continues to flourish as a shot-blocker, making impressive run-down blocks as well as controlling the paint. Offensively, he can finish at the rim, get to the rim on lobs, and intrigued us with his comfort in showing more of his perimeter game.
Jeffries is a 6’8 wing-type prospect who opens up the floor well, can knock down shots from multiple levels, and uses his size well to his advantage. Jeffries has clearly made tremendous strides in rounding out his game, being able to break down defenders off the bounce, get to the rim, rise up over defenders, and can be a true weapon with upside at his position.
With what these two showed at the camp, it wouldn’t surprise me that D1 schools start entering the picture, as they could be two late snags with upside for a college program.
NC Top 80 Evaluations:
2026 6’8 Stephano Farrington:
“Next, Stephano Farrington is a 6-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2026. The significance of impactful shot-blockers will never fade, and he represents this notion perfectly. Farrington is an extremely long, explosive big man who anchors the paint really well as an interior cog. He’s a natural rim-runner and athletic finisher who regularly plays above the rim on lobs, drop-offs, and opportunities in transition. He can space the floor as needed. Farrington rebounds his position well on both ends of the floor. However, so much value comes from his ability to protect the rim at a high level. Farrington constantly puts himself in a position to block or alter shots and is comfortable switching across a lineup if necessary. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more imposing player. Coach Perkins on Farrington: “Stephano is a big-time defender and shot-blocker. Very good rebounder. Plays with great activity and toughness.” Farrington made a lasting impression during camp and looks poised for a notable senior season with Bull City Prep.
2026 6’8 Aden Jeffries:
“Next, Aden Jeffries is a 6-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2026. Between his physical tools, blossoming versatility, and long-term potential, it’s easy to see the intrigue. Jeffries is a capable creator and scorer from multiple levels, which makes him a matchup problem for several types of opponents. He’s a decent rebounder with considerable defensive upside as a player who can switch across multiple positions. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more physically imposing player on both ends of the floor. Coach Jones on Jeffries: “Aden is a streaky shooter with the ability to block shots and secure rebounds at a solid rate. I would like to see him improve his shot selection and work on using his length to his advantage.” Jeffries found ways to make his presence felt throughout camp and will be a major addition to Southern Durham this season.”
