The Carmel Tip-Off Classic once again delivered an incredible weekend of basketball, featuring elite matchups and standout performances from start to finish. The guards/wings from across the region set the tone with their skill, leadership, and ability to make plays for their team. From dynamic scorers and floor generals to defensive disruptors and clutch shot-makers, these playmakers made a lasting impression. Here are POB’s Top Guards/Wings who rose to the occasion and showcased why they are names to remember this season.

2028 Mekhi Allen (Queens Grant)

Allen had a strong showing throughout the event in helping his team. The 2028 prospect was able to really step up in Game 2 as the clear leader, showcasing his ability to knock down shots over defenders and create opportunities for himself. Allen does a great job in getting to his spots, especially in the corner, in hopes of knocking down shots from the perimeter or mid-range. He also has athleticism in finishing at the rim, scoring off the dribble, and using his length to impact the game in other ways. He was consistent throughout the event.

2027 RJ Moore (Ambassador Christian)

Many were excited to see what Moore would show with his new team, and he was the go-to offensive leader for them. Standing at 6’7, Moore is one who can score from all levels and do so with ease. He uses his length extremely well, rising up over defenders with ease and with range, creates well off the bounce, uses his length to get to the rim, and can also be a playmaker on the floor for others.  Moore started off the season strong and should only continue to lead the charge for Ambassador this season.

2027 Geren Holmes (TBS)

Holmes did all he could do to help his team on Day 2, as Holmes showcased his scoring impact from all levels in impressive fashion. Holmes consistently shows his ability to rise up and knock down shots, whether off the dribble or catch-and-shoot situations, but also has a strong frame to attack downhill and embrace contact to finish. Holmes has become the true scoring leader for his team, but he does a great job in finding ways to impact the game in other facets.

2026 Neal Swindell (Caldwell Academy)

Swindell is an underrated prospect, but he should really open more eyes this season, and it was on full display at the event. Swindell has always been able to excel in being physical and attacking downhill, finishing at the rim and through defenders. But what impressed was his overall impact inside and out, out in transition, and he showed more of his all-around game. You add that with his energy, motor, and impact on the defensive end, Swindell provided a lot for his team.

2026 Jeromy Davis (Combine Academy)

Davis was a new name for us at Phenom Hoops, but he certainly left a lasting impression, as the Georgia Southern commit put on a show for the fans. He clearly was the most explosive player at the event, high-flying at the rim, finishing strong at the rim, and being a shot-maker from deep as well as mid-range. A true three-level offensive weapon that has elite athleticism, allowing him to finish at the rim, block shots defensively, and really attack the rim.
