2023 Jalen Wenger (Speights Academy): Wenger finds his way to the top of the list, because every time I watched him, he showed how deadly he can be from the outside. Coming off the bench, you simply know what he is going to provide after watching a game or two, and he has the utmost confidence in his shot-making and his range. Time after time, he was knocking down threes and displayed his ability to fill it up quickly with the green light. Smooth, confident release that was consistent throughout.
2023 Jamari Glover (North Florida Prep): Glover was another prospect that really displayed the ability to fill it up, and knock down shots. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t provide an impact in other areas, as he was tremendous in setting up teammates and scoring off the bounce. But he certainly showed that he can knock down shots from a variety of levels at a high rate, as well as extreme confidence from outside. He had a tremendous overall showing, and college coaches have certainly been coming his way.
2023 Carmelo Pacheco (Fork Union): Another prospect that we have seen a few times this year, we knew what to expect from the 6’4/6’5 sturdy prospect and he delivered. Pacheco does a great job in getting to his spots, and has the confidence to knock down shots from behind the arc or off one-dribble pull-ups. He can be a tough matchup with his shot-making ability, but also uses his strong frame to finish. Also made good decisions.
2025 Evan Dean (NC GBB): Dean is another player we have seen countless times as of late, so we weren’t surprised to see what he could provide on the court. But he just confirmed once again his ability to be a threat from the outside and to really stretch the defense. Time after time, he was knocking down threes and he not only opened up the floor more for his teammates, but he showed he can fill it up as well.
2023 Julius Harrison (Piedmont Classical): Harrison is one that we have talked about countless times, and it is time for a program to really take notice. We are talking about a 6’6 prospect that has hit over 100+ 3-pointers on the season, and it seems like every time we watch him, he is posting games of 5-6 threes a game. Very strong shooter with size, something a program could certainly use.
