2028 Noah Nickerson (Cuthbertson)
Nickerson is one that we have highlighted in the past and he showed that he is going to be a very valuable guard for Cuthbertson this season. He plays with poise and control, attacks well in the open court, sees and reads the floor well, and finds ways to score the ball from a variety of levels. Nickerson really looked to be a key leader on the court and should carry that over into the season.
2027 Daejohn Smith (Elevation Prep)
Smith is a 6’9 big man who certainly looks the part, and he showed that he can be a difference-maker on either side of the court. A fluid big man that runs rim to rim well, finishing not only with touch but also strong at the basket, is active on the glass on both ends, and is a strong presence for his team overall both offensively and defensively.
2028 Anna Haynes (Christ the King)
What a start to the event for Haynes, as the 6’0 center was an absolute force down in the paint. She did a great job in being able to position herself down in the paint, battling through defenders, creating opportunities on the glass, and being such an effective as well as efficient scorer down in the post. She was dominant in the early slate of games, going for 32 points to lead the charge for her team.
2028 Max Leroux (Bluffton)
Leroux had a strong Day 1 here at the Phenom Team Camp. As a 6’3 guard, he did a great job in playing with composure and pace, scored the ball effectively after the bounce, and used his size, but also was able to be an effective option from the perimeter. He scored inside and out, made smart decisions, facilitated well, and brought a nice overall balance. Expect him to have a big season helping lead the charge.
2027 Tim Burris Jr. (Phoenix Montessori)
Burris has been a standout in the past for what he is capable of providing, and now with a new team, it seems that he is making a strong push early on to be an impact player for Phoenix Montessori. Burris brings value in several areas of the court, playing with energy and a motor, strong scoring option off the bounce, and is capable of getting to his spots. A strong and productive day from Burris here in Day 1.
2030 Brandyn Horton (Palisades)
Horton made a strong impression with his ability to stretch the floor and impact the game as a perimeter scorer. Horton shot the ball with tremendous confidence, consistently knocking down shots from beyond the arc and proving to be a reliable scoring threat whenever given space. His shooting touch and poise stood out throughout the win, making him a young prospect worth keeping an eye on moving forward.
2029 Gideon Anum (Regent Prep)
It was good to see Anum back in action on the Phenom platform, and again, he continues to be a prospect that has a lot of factors you like along with upside. He has a physically mature frame and uses it to his advantage, excelling well downhill, scoring at the rim, and being a strong two-way presence. And he continues to improve his outside game as well, bringing a well-balanced feel as a leader on the court.
2027 Peyton Lowery (York Comprehensive)
Lowery delivered a dominant offensive performance, leading his team to victory with a 34-point outing. Lowery stayed aggressive from start to finish, attacking the basket, creating off the bounce, and consistently putting pressure on the defense. He showed the ability to score at all three levels, knock down tough shots, and get to the free-throw line, making him a constant problem for opponents throughout the game.
2028 MJ Russell (Reynolds)
Russell showcased why he is such an effective floor general, displaying excellent vision and playmaking instincts throughout the game. Always keeping his head up, Russell consistently created opportunities for teammates while also picking his spots to score from both inside the arc and from deep. He capped off his strong performance in clutch fashion, knocking down the game-winning shot to secure the victory for his team.
