2028 RJ Davis (Cp3 EYBL)
Davis is a player I would watch this summer and down the road, as he could have a “blow up” type summer with CP3. There are a lot of factors in his game with his length, 6’5 frame, and bounce, but he also has a ton of potential left in the tank. Davis was exceptional out in transition, attacking and finishing at the rim, creating well off the bounce, using his athleticism to his advantage, and should only get stronger and add more levels to his overall game. If he does do that, watch out because his recruiting will be taking off.
2028 Ayo Awosanya (Elite 1)
Awosanya is a player we have been able to watch a lot over the last year, and we are intrigued with his production and overall skillset. You like how he can operate around the basket and inside, finishing at the rim and being active, but he is also one who can be used in a variety of other areas. I’m eager to see how he continues to add more levels, but he plays with a strong motor, gets to the rim, and can guard multiple positions on the court.
2028 Isaac Smith (Team United)
A new name that is certainly on our radar, Smith announced himself and could be a player you hear a lot more about in the coming years. At 6’7, he has tremendous size, a versatile overall game, and is one who impacts the game in several areas. Super bouncy and active both offensively and on the glass, comfortable in operating in a variety of areas of the floor, and has a lot of tools that could make him the next man up in the Class of 2028. Time to write his name down now.
2028 Chase Smith (Team United)
I simply just love what Smith provides on the court. Though some will be waiting and sitting on the sidelines to see what he may ultimately be, I’ve been on board with what he simply brings to the table. He is what he is now, and if he gets bigger, that is only a bonus. Smith is super productive, moves well without the ball, has great touch around the basket, and can be a force on the boards. HE SIMPLY PRODUCES, and again, he is just coming off a strong freshman season.
2028 Antoine Caughman (Upward Stars)
Caughman caught the eyes of many at the event, as he could be a name to really watch out for in South Carolina and should see at the top of the rankings for the state. Caughman has a good overall feel for the game along with a blend of size, mature frame, and athleticism. He showed that he is a multi-level scorer with good pace, comfortable in being a shot-maker with range, creating and finishing through contact, and is one who makes good decisions on the floor. Loved his confidence and overall play at the event.
2028 Chris McClenic (Carolina Pressure)
McClenic was a new name that caught our eye on Day 1 but I believe he could be a name worth monitoring in the Class of 2028. He stands at 6’4, good length and athleticism, consistently was able to get downhill and finish at the rim, and plays with a high motor overall on the court. McClenic attacked the glass, scored effectively throughout, and just played with a high motor all over the court. I’m eager to see how he continues to develop but he is certainly on our radar after his showing.
