It was a great trip to Virginia once again, getting a chance to see an array of talent from around the state. Several of these names will be ones you will hear about in the coming years but they caught our eyes in Richmond.
Here are some of the standouts from the Virginia Phenom 150.

2022 6’5 Justin Taylor
Taylor came in as a must-see prospect and he showed why early and often. Playing with great energy, terrific hands, and with craft, he scored in an array of ways with fantastic pace and smoothness. Whether it was scoring with a smooth pull-up jumper or getting downhill to the rim, he was a non-stop scoring machine.
2021 6’1 Mikel Miller
Miller came out and showcased a smooth and confident jumper, hitting several three’s with ease. He also had a fantastic motor, never giving up on plays, pushing the ball in transition, and finishing strong. Really came out in attack mode to start the day.
2021 6’4 Devawn White
White is a lengthy guard that used his wingspan to his advantage. Much of his damage was done in when he put the ball on the deck and attacked the rim, securing second-effort opportunities as well knocking down smooth jumpers.
2021 6’4 Jaden House
House has fantastic breakdown ability vs. defenders, hitting them with quick crossovers and change of pace. He did much of his damage when attacking the rim and finishing strong through contact multiple times. Just have a great feel with the ball in his hands.
2021 6’1 James Prescott
Prescott continued to make the right plays, was surprisingly strong all over the floor, and really showcased his motor on the boards. There weren’t too many that were going to outwork him, as he had a tremendous feel inside and out.
2023 6’6 Dennis Parker
Parker’s feel, understanding, and size/ length is impressive early on as a prospect. He was knocking down the outside jumper but also running the floor very well. Brings a ton of energy and is highly effective in transition.
2022 5’8 Jack Faulkner
Faulkner may not jump out to you at first but man, did he make plays today. Time and time again, he showcased his range and was a sniper on the offensive end. He had deceptive quickness and find those pockets to score against the defense. He quietly had a solid day at the event.
